The current owner of the property since 2019 is Hi Point 1522 LLC. The management company off and on since 2014 is Power Property Management Inc. of Los Angeles. Also involved is owner Meghan Haynes of Bold Partners of Santa Monica, California. The previous owner of the property told court officials that over 200 code violation complaints have been filed against the property. He told the court to "Google Racism at Hi Point Apts". The most recent code violation complaint was July 2022 city number 825343, as well as 815528, 808802. The city has been accused of destroying tenant complaints. There are numerous CRD state discrimination complaints naming this property owner. One tenant won a court judgment against the owner in 2022 for $569 case 21STSC04574 Los Angeles for denial of intercom repairs and requests for added parking. In that case owner Hi Point Apts LLC applied for a fee waiver even though months later he would sell the building for six million dollars. The Los Angeles Housing Department recently declared the current owner harassed Black tenants, city case CE273371 but the city has refused to order the repairs and parking requested. Pretty bad in this building as code enforcement has said they will not inspect the building. There is an abandoned vehicle in the lot since 2014. There is no resident manager as required under law. Some illegal home sharing guests are charged an illegal $100 deposit for utilities. A few tenants play ghetto blasting stereos in the parking lot. There is a pipe sticking out a wall in the hallway. The owner refuses to repair the outside intercom system.
