# Augrented Buildings

> Augrented Buildings is a read-only MCP server and web platform for discovering residential buildings, inspecting risk and complaint metrics, and comparing landlord portfolios across NYC, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Austin.

The platform provides city-specific building profiles with ownership data, physical characteristics, violation probability predictions, complaint/violation history, and landlord portfolio analysis. Data is sourced from public records including HPD, DOB, 311 systems, and other municipal datasets.

## Key concepts

- **BBL** (NYC): Borough-Block-Lot identifier, 10 digits
- **blocklot** (SF): Block and lot number
- **APN** (LA): Assessor's Parcel Number
- **geo_id** (Austin): TCAD parcel identifier
- **Building profile**: Grouped data including identity, physical profile, ownership, risk forecast, complaints/violations, regulatory status, and peer context
- **Building records**: Raw dataset records from city-specific sources (311, permits, violations, etc.)
- **Landlord portfolio**: Aggregation of buildings owned by a single entity with violation counts and unit totals
