61 East Broadway is a 5-story, 6-unit pre-war tenement building located in Chinatown, constructed in 1910 and currently owned by Candy Xia. The building has experienced recurring infrastructure issues over the past several years, most notably concerning heat and hot water systems. In January 2024, there was an apartment-only heat/hot water complaint that HPD could not investigate due to lack of access, and a similar building-wide complaint in June 2020 resulted in violations.
