Section 1: INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE
1.1 Privacy Policy Overview
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how Augrented ("Augrented," "Company," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, processes, stores, shares, and protects personal information obtained through the Augrented platform, website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Platform" or "Services").
This Policy applies to all users of the Platform, including Consumer Users who access services for personal use and Business Users who utilize Platform services for commercial purposes. The Policy governs personal information collection regardless of how users access the Platform, including through web browsers, mobile applications, application programming interfaces (APIs), or other technological means.
Important Clarification Regarding Property-Related Information: This Privacy Policy applies only to personal information collected about Platform users in their capacity as users of our services. It does not apply to information about properties, buildings, or real estate assets that users may own, manage, or control. Property owners, landlords, and property managers who use the Platform do not gain privacy rights under this Policy with respect to publicly available information about properties they own or manage. Such individuals are protected by this Privacy Policy only in their capacity as Platform users, not as property owners or managers whose properties are featured in our publicly sourced datasets.
Augrented is committed to protecting user privacy and maintaining transparency about data practices. This Policy explains user rights regarding personal information, describes the legal bases for data processing, outlines data security measures, and provides information about how users can exercise control over their personal information.
The Platform aggregates multifamily real estate data from public sources, generates predictive analytics through machine learning, provides AI-generated property analyses, and facilitates user-generated content including building reviews. Each of these functions involves different types of data collection and processing, which are detailed throughout this Policy.
1.2 Integration with Terms of Service
This Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference into Augrented's Terms and Conditions ("Terms") and should be read in conjunction with those Terms. In case of conflicts between this Policy and the Terms regarding privacy matters, this Policy shall control. However, the Terms govern other aspects of the user relationship, including service usage, intellectual property rights, and legal liability.
Users must agree to both this Privacy Policy and the Terms to access and use Platform services. Modifications to this Policy follow procedures similar to Terms modifications, with appropriate notice provided to users and continued Platform usage constituting acceptance of privacy practice changes.
This Policy complements the Terms by providing detailed information about data practices that may be referenced but not fully explained in the Terms. Together, these documents establish the complete framework governing the relationship between Augrented and Platform users.
1.3 Modifications to This Policy
Augrented reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in data practices, legal requirements, business operations, or service offerings. Material changes to data collection, use, or sharing practices will be communicated through multiple channels to ensure user awareness.
When we make material changes to this Policy, we will notify users by:
- Posting the updated Policy on the Platform with a revised "Last Updated" date
- Sending email notifications to users who have provided email addresses
- Displaying prominent notices on the Platform
- Such other methods as appropriate under the circumstances
Material changes to this Policy become effective thirty (30) days after notice is provided, giving users time to review changes and make informed decisions about continued Platform use. Non-material changes, such as clarifications or administrative updates, become effective immediately upon posting.
Users who do not accept Policy modifications may discontinue Platform use and delete their accounts. Continued use after the effective date of modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy. Users who delete accounts in response to Policy changes will be subject to data retention practices described in Section 8.

User-Generated Content: Reviews, comments, and other user-generated content may be retained indefinitely to preserve the value of community contributions for other users, but such content may be anonymized or disassociated from user accounts upon request or account deletion.
Communication Records: Customer support communications, feedback submissions, and other correspondence are retained for three (3) years to maintain service quality, resolve ongoing issues, and comply with business record-keeping requirements.
Legal and Compliance Records: Information required for legal compliance, dispute resolution, or regulatory reporting may be retained for longer periods as required by applicable law, including tax records, legal notices, and regulatory communications.
5.2 Inactive Account Policies
Account Inactivity Determination: Accounts are considered inactive after twelve (12) months without user login, Platform access, or account management activity. Users receive advance notification before accounts are classified as inactive and given opportunities to reactivate accounts.
Graduated Data Retention: Inactive accounts progress through stages of reduced data retention, beginning with anonymization of non-essential information, progressing to deletion of personal identifiers, and ultimately to complete data deletion except where legal retention requirements apply.
Reactivation Procedures: Users may reactivate inactive accounts within specific timeframes, subject to identity verification and current Terms acceptance. Reactivation availability depends on how long accounts have been inactive and what data has been retained.
Data Preservation Options: Before account deletion, users may request data export or account archival options that preserve important information while reducing privacy exposure. Such options are subject to technical feasibility and legal requirements.

Deletion Timeline: Most personal information is deleted within thirty (30) days of verified deletion requests, though some information may require longer deletion periods due to backup systems, technical constraints, or legal retention requirements.
Partial Deletion Options: Users may request deletion of specific types of information rather than complete account deletion, subject to technical feasibility and consistency with data protection requirements and legal obligations.
Deletion Confirmation: Users receive confirmation when deletion requests are completed, including information about any data that cannot be deleted due to legal requirements or technical constraints.

Backup System Retention: Personal information in backup systems may be retained for longer periods than active system data due to technical constraints and disaster recovery requirements, but such retention does not extend active use of the information.
Secure Deletion Protocols: When information is deleted from active systems, secure deletion protocols ensure that data cannot be recovered or reconstructed, but some residual data may remain in backup systems until backup rotation cycles complete.
Emergency Recovery Situations: In cases of system failures, data corruption, or security incidents, backup data may be used to restore Platform functionality, but such use is limited to restoration purposes and subject to privacy protections.
Third-Party Backup Services: Cloud storage providers and backup services may retain data for periods determined by their retention policies, but contractual agreements require such providers to comply with Augrented's data retention and deletion requirements.
