The five-story tenement building at 190 Stanton Street in the Lower East Side, owned by Pat Johnson and constructed in 1920, has experienced several significant maintenance issues over recent years. Most notably, there was a heat and hot water emergency affecting the entire building in December 2024, though HPD could not gain access to inspect the conditions. In 2021, multiple emergency violations were documented, including issues with plaster and paint on walls and ceilings, plumbing problems in the bathtub/shower and toilet, and unsanitary sewage conditions.

Apartment 4A in particular had documented pest issues in 2021, with both roach infestation and violations regarding plaster and paint maintenance.
