The five-story, 16-unit Old Law Tenement building at 1105 1st Avenue, built in 1930 and currently owned by 1105 Acquisition LLC, has experienced recurring maintenance issues over the past several years. Most recently, in May 2025, there was a pest-related sanitary condition requiring HPD intervention. In 2024, there were significant electrical problems, including power outages and lighting failures, as well as heat and hot water issues in November 2023.
