The two-family house at 139 Father Zeiser Place in Kingsbridge, owned by Colleen Mcentee, has experienced several concerning events in recent years, with the most significant being a serious incident in May 2023 involving extensive fire, smoke, and water damage throughout the structure.

The building was subsequently placed under structural monitoring and a full vacate order was served, with violations issued for being structurally compromised, failing to maintain code compliance, and housing unauthorized units including eight Single Room Occupancies (SROs) and an illegal Class A apartment in the basement. While there were initially multiple construction-related complaints filed in May 2023, most of these were determined to have no violations warranted at the time of inspection, though a violation for failing to erect a construction fence was dismissed after the building was secured with a locked front gate.
