1209 Rosedale Avenue is a 4-unit, 2-story New Law Tenement building constructed in 1928 and currently owned by Harrinarine Deodat. The property has experienced recurring issues with building systems over recent years, most notably in April 2020 when multiple complaints were filed regarding heat, hot water, and electrical problems including no lighting and a power outage. While some of these issues were reportedly corrected, access limitations prevented proper inspections in several instances.

Previously, in late 2019, the building faced several maintenance issues including problems with plumbing (radiator), water leaks, ceiling plastering, and pest control, all of which were marked as emergencies and eventually closed. More recently, the building has been cited for failing to file required annual bedbug reports from 2021 through 2024, resulting in multiple open Class A violations.
