The building's recent history shows several concerning patterns, particularly in 2021-2022, when multiple inspections revealed issues including mold, pest infestations, and electrical problems. Specifically, in September 2021, the Department of Housing Preservation and Development received complaints about unsanitary conditions (mold and pests) and electrical problems, though they were unable to gain access for inspection. In 2020, there was a report of a broken window guard that was not properly inspected.
