The 3-story, 3-unit building at 1934 Holland Avenue in Van Nest, built in 1988 and currently owned by Shaiyef Alabhar, has experienced a series of maintenance and safety issues over the past year. Most recently, between December 2024 and May 2025, multiple complaints were filed regarding plumbing problems with basins/sinks and wall paint/plaster issues, though HPD inspectors were unable to gain access for verification of these complaints. In late 2024, several significant concerns emerged, including water leak issues (both documented in October and December), evidence of mold, and a heating system complaint that required inspection.

Historical complaints regarding improper egress and Certificate of Occupancy concerns were investigated but did not result in violations being confirmed.
