The two-family house at 3055 Eastchester Road in Baychester, built in 1965 and currently owned by Damion Thompson, has experienced significant maintenance challenges in recent years. Most notably, in July 2021, there were serious issues with both heating and cooking gas systems in the building, which were classified as emergency situations and resulted in violations from the Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD).

Earlier, in mid-2020, the property faced multiple maintenance issues including water leaks (both heavy and slow), pest infestations, sewage problems, and electrical wiring concerns, with some of these situations resulting in violations. As of July 2025, there remain several open violations on record pertaining to hot water and gas supply issues in Apartment 1 as documented during the July 2021 inspection. While some historical maintenance issues appear to have been addressed, particularly regarding pest control, the presence of open violations related to essential services such as heat and hot water, as well as gas supply, suggests that some infrastructure challenges persist at this property.
