The six-unit, two-story building at 826 East 227th Street in Wakefield, owned by Shakeia Hicks and constructed in 1930 as a New Law Tenement, has experienced persistent heating and hot water issues over the past several years. Most notably, there have been multiple emergency heat/hot water complaints in 2024 and 2023, with eight such complaints recorded between September 2023 and August 2024 alone.
