The two-story, four-unit residential building at 417 City Island Avenue, owned by Christine Persaud and constructed in 1990, has experienced several notable issues over the past few years. Most recently, in May 2024, there was a concerning indoor air quality complaint regarding chemical vapors or odors, which resulted in the property management receiving an advisory from the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH).
