The building has experienced several concerning maintenance issues in recent years, most notably recurring problems with heating and plumbing systems. In 2025 alone, there were two significant incidents involving heat/hot water and water supply issues affecting the entire building, both of which required emergency responses from the Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD), though inspectors were unable to gain access to the building for proper evaluation.

A previous rodent issue was reported in October 2020, but inspectors were again unable to access the property for confirmation.
