The building's history shows typical maintenance challenges for an older New York City tenement building, with the most pressing current issues being the recent complaints about unsanitary conditions and various maintenance problems that have been reported but not fully inspected. The property has generally shown responsiveness to major violations when they are properly documented, as evidenced by the closure of many violations within a reasonable timeframe, though there are some open violations noted from the November 2024 inspection.
