The 17-story, 138-unit building at 230 Classon Avenue in Clinton Hill, owned by Tyler Wilkins, was completed in 2022 and has experienced several significant plumbing issues since late September 2023. During this period, there were multiple Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) complaints and emergencies related to water supply problems, with ten separate complaints filed between September 29 and October 2, 2023, all of which were subsequently closed.

Additionally, there was one heat/hot water emergency affecting the entire building in late September 2023. These plumbing issues appear to represent a recurring building-wide problem, as evidenced by multiple tenants filing duplicate complaints during this period. The Department of Buildings (DOB) records from 2022 through early 2023 show several complaints, including some related to site conditions endangering workers during construction (August-October 2022), issues with the elevator system (October 2022), and two complaints about tracking compliance (September 2022 and March 2023).

While some complaints resulted in Oath Violations being served, most inspections determined no violations warranted action at the time. On a positive note, the building has maintained a clean record regarding bedbug infestations, with no reported cases or eradications in any of the four annual reporting periods from 2022 through 2025. The most recent bedbug report, filed in January 2025, indicates zero infested units for the period of November 2023 to October 2024.
