421 Wythe Avenue is a 4-story, 3-unit old law tenement building constructed in 1910 in Williamsburg, currently owned by Gabriel Dorfman. The building has experienced several safety-related issues in recent years that warrant attention. Most notably, in April 2025, there were emergency complaints regarding both the fire escape and carbon monoxide detector, though HPD inspectors were unable to gain access to inspect these issues.

An attempt to investigate a door complaint from October 2023 also resulted in no access. The building's safety history shows recurring concerns with carbon monoxide detection and fire safety, as evidenced by violations in 2005-2006 concerning missing smoke detectors and CO detectors in Apartment 3, which were listed as open violations until certified as resolved in 2024.
