29 South 10th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11249

The 21-unit, 7-story residential building at 29 South 10th Street in Williamsburg, owned by Simon Eisenfeld and completed in 2013, has had several maintenance issues over the past few years that warrant attention. Most notably, in April 2024, multiple violations were documented regarding public area doors throughout the building, including defective self-closing doors and hinges at the compactor closet doors on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th stories, as well as one instance involving a stair B door on the 1st story.

Additionally, there was a violation for household items obstructing public space on the 6th story. A building shake/vibration complaint was filed in December 2023, though no violations were found upon inspection the same day. The building failed to submit its FISP Cycle 9A technical report by the February 2022 deadline, receiving an active violation for this oversight.

Historically, the building has maintained a clean record regarding pest issues, with bedbug reports showing zero infested units for the past five consecutive reporting periods from 2019 through 2024. Earlier maintenance concerns included a window guard safety issue in March 2019, which was investigated by the Department of Housing Preservation and Development though no violations were ultimately issued. Though the building has experienced various maintenance issues, most have been addressed or closed out, with the exception of the active FISP violation from 2022.
