149 Freeman Street is a three-story, six-unit residential building in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, constructed in 1930 and currently owned by 149 Freeman Street LLC. The building has experienced recurring maintenance issues over the past decade, with the most significant recent problems occurring in 2023. Between March and May 2023, there were multiple complaints about heat and hot water problems affecting the entire building, as well as various water-related issues including slow leaks, damp spots, and mold/unsanitary conditions.
