The 3-unit, 3-story building at 157 Monitor Street in Greenpoint, owned by Joyce Love and built in 1920, has experienced several significant maintenance issues in recent years. Most notably, between late 2024 and early 2025, there were multiple emergency complaints and inspections involving unsanitary conditions including mold, electrical issues with no lighting, and heat/hot water problems affecting the entire building.

In July 2024, there were additional complaints about cooking gas and more instances of mold, along with a rodent sighting that resulted in documented violations. The building has shown consistent rodent problems, with inspections in July and September 2024 confirming rat activity.

Three consecutive annual Bedbug Reporting violations were issued between 2021 and 2024, though subsequent reports from 2024 onwards indicate no infested units or related issues, suggesting these earlier compliance matters may have been resolved.
