97 Varet Street, Brooklyn, NY 11206

The 10-unit, 4-story residential building at 97 Varet Street in Williamsburg, owned by Yoel Landau, was completed in 2023 and has experienced relatively few issues in its short history. The most significant recent concern was a plumbing complaint related to a bathtub/shower from May to September 2024, which was closed without an inspection due to lack of access.

Prior to this, the building had two years of bedbug inspections (2022-2024) with no reported infestations in any units, demonstrating effective pest management protocols. During its construction and initial occupancy period (2022-2023), the building experienced multiple Department of Buildings complaints, most notably around March 2022, when there were complaints about tracking compliance and after-hours work.

While several of these complaints warranted inspections, most resulted in "No Violation Warranted" findings, with one instance resulting in a STOP WORK ORDER being fully rescinded. A CSE Sweep conducted in August 2022 did result in an Oath Violation being served.
