The three-story, five-unit Old Law Tenement building at 143 Wilson Avenue in Bushwick, owned by Maria Coniglio and constructed in 1931, has experienced recurring issues with garbage and recycling storage over the past several years. Between March 2021 and December 2022, the building received multiple Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) complaints related to unsanitary conditions, with some inspections resulting in violations for inadequate garbage disposal facilities. Specifically, violations were issued regarding the need for "sufficient, proper and separate metal receptacles" for waste materials.
