At 325 Knickerbocker Avenue in Bushwick, a 4-story, 5-unit New Law tenement building built in 1931, numerous heat and hot water complaints have been recorded between December 2024 and February 2025, showing persistent temperature and hot water supply issues that remain unresolved despite multiple HPD inspections. The building is currently facing substantial safety concerns, with open violations as of December 2024 in apartment 4R for non-functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, inadequate heat supply, and hot water temperature exceeding 130 degrees, though some of these violations were later marked as certified corrected in January 2025.

In addition to the heating issues, recent inspections in February 2025 uncovered various maintenance concerns including unsanitary conditions, plumbing problems, and issues with flooring and cabinets.
