1150 Dekalb Avenue is a 4-story, 12-unit New Law Tenement building constructed in 1931 in Bushwick, currently owned by Sam Schwartz. The building has experienced several recurring maintenance issues in recent years, most notably with water problems, as evidenced by two non-emergency water leak complaints in 2024 (one for a damp spot and another for a slow leak), both of which HPD was unable to inspect due to access issues. Other significant incidents include a power outage in 2021 that was investigated by HPD with no violations found, a pest-related unsanitary condition complaint in 2020 that HPD couldn't inspect, and a heat/hot water issue in 2019 that HPD was also unable to access.

The building has three open violations related to the annual bedbug report requirement as of 2023-2024.
