Between January 6 and February 10, 2025, there were multiple emergency complaints regarding heat and hot water problems, with at least eight complaints involving the entire building and several others related to individual apartments.

While some complaints were resolved quickly with confirmed restoration of services, others were unable to gain proper access for inspection, and several were duplicates of existing complaints. The Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) conducted multiple inspections during this period, with most finding no violations of housing laws, though the frequency and pattern of complaints suggest ongoing system challenges. Additional concerns were raised in January 2025 regarding work without proper permits in an occupied multiple dwelling, resulting in an Oath Violation being served, though this was not directly related to building systems.

The building had a historical boiler-related violation in May 2021, indicating past equipment issues. Three separate Local Law 188/17 compliance inspections conducted in late January 2025 found no violations at the time of inspection. The repeated nature of the heat and hot water complaints, particularly in the winter months, represents the most significant current challenge for the building's residents, requiring ongoing attention to ensure reliable building systems.
