The two-story, four-unit tenement building at 311 Legion Street in Brownsville, built in 1930 and owned by Yvonne Loney, has experienced numerous maintenance issues over the past year, particularly relating to water and mold problems. Between October and December 2023, there were multiple complaints and inspections involving slow water leaks, plumbing issues (including bathtub/shower problems), an electric/gas range appliance issue, and both visible and reported mold conditions.

Notably, violations were issued in November 2023 for mold and window frame problems, and in December 2023, serious concerns were identified in apartment 2R including lead paint hazards and multiple instances of mold. A new open violation as of April 2024 requires the filing of the annual bedbug report. The building has had several 311 service requests in recent months, with the most recent in November 2023 involving window frame issues and mold problems with violations issued.
