The two-family house at 22 Kiely Place in Cypress Hills, owned by Zhao Ming Wen, has experienced several maintenance issues in 2025, particularly between February and March. The most recent complaints, all inspected by the Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) in March 2025, resulted in violations for flooring/stairs conditions, unsanitary conditions related to pests, and mold issues.

A variety of other maintenance concerns were documented earlier in 2025, including problems with plumbing fixtures, water leaks, and wall conditions, though some of these inspections were either incomplete or resulted in no violations being found. The building has an established history of rodent inspections dating back to 2012 and 2017, both of which passed. A significant violation from 2018 was recorded regarding the posting of gas leak procedures in a common area, though this was eventually closed.

More recently, in late 2023, there was a complaint regarding permits which was investigated with no violations found. While many of the recent complaints have been classified as emergency or non-emergency, they collectively suggest ongoing challenges with building maintenance and resident comfort, particularly regarding water-related issues and pest control. All the current complaints have been closed, though some violations pending correction were noted, particularly with the flooring conditions that resulted in violations in March 2025.
