The three-unit New Law Tenement building at 135 Logan Street in Cypress Hills, owned by Kevin Garib, was constructed in 1915 and has experienced several maintenance challenges over the past few years. Most recently, in August 2024, there was a power outage affecting the building, which was investigated by HPD with no violations found.

A significant cluster of issues was documented in April 2021, including concerns with mold, electrical wiring, floor conditions, safety sprinkler systems, and heavy water flow, though again, no violations were issued following inspections. The building has maintained a clean record regarding bedbug infestations, with all recent annual reports (2019-2024) showing zero infested units. The property has undergone regular inspections for rodent control, passing inspections in 2012 and 2017.

While there have been two complaints regarding unpermitted work on occupied multiple dwellings in 2022 (June and October), and one concerning illegal conversion in September 2020, all were closed with no violations found or due to inability to access the unit for inspection.
