The three-story, two-family house at 1208 Liberty Avenue in Cypress Hills, owned by 1208 Liberty Ave. Corp, has experienced several maintenance issues over the past two years.

Most recently, in August 2024, the building received two separate complaints regarding pest infestations, which were categorized as unsanitary conditions. Unfortunately, in both instances, HPD inspectors were unable to gain access to conduct inspections, leading to the complaints being closed without resolution. Prior to these pest complaints, the property had two documented issues in 2023.

In June 2023, there was a report of a broken or missing window guard, which was classified as an emergency safety concern; however, no violations were issued following the HPD inspection. Earlier that year, in January 2023, there was an emergency door-related issue, but similar to the window guard complaint, no violations were recorded after inspection. While the building's maintenance history shows some recurring concerns, particularly regarding building safety and pest control, it's worth noting that in most cases, HPD inspections did not result in formal violations, though access issues prevented proper investigation of the most recent complaints.
