The three-unit, two-story New Law Tenement at 672 Hemlock Street in East New York, built in 1910 and currently owned by Sofi Ullah, has experienced several significant maintenance and safety issues over the past decade. The building has recurring bedbug violation notices from 2021 to 2024, with three active Class A violations for failing to submit required annual bedbug reports between 2022 and 2024.

There was a documented rodent infestation in apartment 2F in October 2020, along with reports of cockroaches in the same unit, though these violations were subsequently closed. The property has also faced various maintenance challenges, including multiple complaints about mold (2019 and 2020), heating issues (2019), and interior maintenance problems such as ceiling plaster (2023), flooring (2020), and door/window conditions (2019 and 2020).
