The 5-story, 9-unit residential building located at Lenox Road in East Flatbush, owned by Jack Meir, was constructed in 2022 and has recently experienced significant heating system issues. Between January 15 and February 24, 2025, there were multiple complaints (seven in total) regarding heat and hot water problems, both in individual apartments and throughout the entire building, with several violations issued against the property.

During this period, there were also two complaints (January 1-31, 2025) regarding problems with the building's intercom system, though HPD inspectors were unable to gain access to conduct proper inspections. More recently, in April 2025, a rodent-related complaint was investigated by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, though no violations were found.

Prior to these recent issues, the building's construction phase in 2022 was marked by several complaints, including two instances of work reportedly being conducted contrary to stop work orders and one complaint regarding inadequate safety net/guard rail installation. While these construction-related complaints were all ultimately closed with various determinations (including some being found unsubstantiated), the building's post-construction period has seen more frequent maintenance and safety concerns. Notably, the building has had no reported bedbug infestations in the past year (November 2023 - October 2024), with zero units affected according to the most recent bedbug report filed in December 2024.
