The 2-story, 3-unit residential building at 885 Linden Boulevard in East Flatbush, owned by Keva Rivera and constructed in 1920, has experienced significant maintenance issues as documented in recent years. The most concerning pattern emerged in early 2022, when multiple complaints were filed on February 26 regarding various issues including plumbing problems with bathtubs/showers and toilets, heating and hot water concerns, electrical/gas range and refrigerator appliance issues, flooring problems, and pest infestations.

While all these 311 complaints were investigated by the Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) - and notably, no violations were issued for these specific complaints - the building has since accumulated several open violations requiring attention. As of 2024, two Class A violations remain open regarding the failure to file annual bedbug reports, with previous inspections in 2023 and 2024 noting this ongoing compliance issue.
