The three-story, 3-unit residential building at 1445 Troy Avenue in East Flatbush, owned by Shulem Berger and built in 1935, has experienced several significant issues in recent years. Most notably, there has been a persistent rodent problem throughout 2024 and 2025, with multiple documented complaints including rat sightings and conditions attracting rodents between May 2024 and June 2025.

While the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene conducted inspections that passed with either minor violations or no violations found, the frequency of these complaints indicates an ongoing concern.
