The two-story, three-unit building at 255 Midwood Street in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens, owned by Marjorie Solomon, has significant documented issues from mid-2019 that warrant attention. In June 2019, multiple complaints were filed with the Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) regarding the building's ventilation system, doors, and water leaks, all of which were investigated but resulted in no violations being issued.

However, a subsequent inspection on June 20, 2019, revealed more serious concerns, including illegal living spaces, unauthorized plumbing connections, and an unpermitted cooking area in the cellar, along with a sleeping unit adjacent to the boiler room. These violations led to an Environmental Control Board (ECB) citation and a $2,500 penalty for creating an illegal Class A apartment in the cellar with partitions, electric range, and kitchen sink.
