The building has experienced several notable events in recent years, most significantly in October 2021 when multiple simultaneous issues were reported, including problems with the building's fire escape, heat and hot water, unsanitary garbage storage conditions, and missing signage.

These complaints were investigated by the Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD), which found no violations in the fire escape and garbage conditions, though heat and hot water were reportedly restored after initial problems. The building has also had recurring bedbug reporting requirements, with violations noted in 2021 and 2022 for failing to file the required annual bedbug reports.
