The two-family residence at 1364 65th Street in Dyker Heights, owned by So Tang, is a two-story, 1920s building that has experienced several notable incidents over the past few years. The most recent events include a complete absence of bedbug infestations reported between November 2023 and October 2024, with no units affected or requiring eradication.

From late 2020, there were multiple complaints regarding an allegedly illegal pet rooster on the premises, with three separate complaints filed in November 2020, two of which resulted in inspections that found no violations, and one where access was denied to inspectors. Between 2018 and 2020, the building was the subject of several Department of Buildings (DOB) investigations regarding potential illegal conversions and occupancy issues, with four separate complaints recorded in that period.

These inspections, however, encountered access issues in at least two cases, and while violations were noted in three cases regarding illegal conversions and occupancy concerns, one investigation into an immediately hazardous condition from May 2019 was ultimately dismissed by the Environmental Control Board in November 2019 with no penalties.
