The three-story, two-family house at 8121 3rd Avenue in Bay Ridge, owned by Eileen Corigliano and dating back to 1931, has experienced recurring heating system issues over the past few years. Most recently, the building received complaints about heat and hot water problems in late 2024 and previously in November 2022, in both instances affecting the entire building.

The Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) was unable to gain access to inspect the complaints in either case, resulting in closure without resolution confirmation. The building's history also includes some construction-related incidents, particularly in 2022 when a Stop Work Order was issued and subsequently rescinded in October of that year, related to issues with special inspector Alberto Roman who surrendered his filing privileges.
