The three-story, six-unit tenement building at 2025 78th Street in Bensonhurst, owned by 2025 78 Realty LLC, has experienced several notable incidents over recent years, particularly concerning heat and safety systems. Most recently, in early 2025, there was a complaint about mailbox issues that HPD determined did not violate housing laws.

A significant heat and hot water complaint emerged in late 2024 affecting the entire building, though inspectors were unable to gain access for verification. This followed a cluster of similar heat-related complaints in January 2021, again involving both individual apartments and the entire building, with inspection access being denied in those cases as well.
