The three-family NEW LAW TENEMENT building at 8431 Bay 16th Street in Bensonhurst, owned by Bernard Demeo, was constructed in 1930 and has experienced several maintenance and compliance issues over the past decade. Most notably, from late 2018, there were numerous housing maintenance code violations related to paint/plaster conditions on walls, door/window issues, and plumbing concerns throughout the building.
