The 2-story, 4-unit New Law Tenement building at 2057 85th Street in Bensonhurst, built in 1924 and currently owned by Diana Orellana, has experienced several significant maintenance issues over the past several years. Most notably, there were multiple heating and hot water problems documented in November 2018, when the entire building experienced lack of heat and hot water, though these issues were reportedly resolved within a few days.

More concerning is the ongoing issue with the building's bedbug reporting compliance, as evidenced by four consecutive Housing Maintenance Code violations from 2021 through 2024, all related to the failure to file the required annual bedbug reports with HPD.
