Located in Bensonhurst, 1328 West 7th Street is a 4-story, 12-unit New Law Tenement building constructed in 1926 and currently owned by Gail Schattner. The building has experienced several maintenance issues in recent years, with the most significant problems occurring in early 2022 when there were complaints about no lighting and lack of heat and hot water throughout the entire building. These issues were eventually resolved, though access was reportedly denied for the lighting inspection.

In 2019, there was a verified carbon monoxide detector issue that was corrected, and the building has maintained a clean record regarding bedbug infestations over the past seven reporting periods from 2018 through 2024, with no reported cases or eradications. The building underwent inspections in May 2018 that revealed several violations, including maintenance issues with the entrance door, public hall stairs, and various safety concerns in apartment C3. These violations, which included problems with window guards, carbon monoxide detectors, pest control, and light fixtures, were subsequently certified as corrected between March 2018 and May 2024, with the exception of one violation regarding fire-retardant wall repairs.
