The 63-33 98th Place building in Rego Park, an 8-story, 144-unit Class A building constructed in 1948 and currently owned by Myron Baer, has experienced several notable maintenance and safety issues over the past years. Most recently, in 2024, there were complaints about unsanitary pigeon conditions, though a subsequent Health Department inspection found no violations. The building has faced recurring heat and hot water issues, particularly notable in October 2019 when multiple complaints were logged about lack of service affecting both apartments and the entire building, with tenants reporting restoration of services during inspections.
