This 4-unit, 2-story tenement building located at 54-06 Nurge Avenue in Maspeth, built in 1915 and currently owned by Jorge Maldonado, has experienced several significant maintenance issues in recent years, particularly regarding heating systems and safety compliance. The building has documented two heat and hot water complaints in early 2022 (January and March), with the second incident resulting in multiple violations including scalding hot water exceeding 130 degrees in Apartment 2R and various door-related issues.

March 2022 inspections revealed several open violations that remain unresolved as of the current date, including problems with self-closing doors at various entrances, missing safety notices for smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and an illegal double-cylinder locking device in Apartment 2R. The property has a history of rodent issues, with an open complaint from September 2020 still in progress as of my last training cut-off.
