1701 Gates Avenue is a 3-story, 5-unit New Law Tenement building built in 1930, currently owned by Rosanna Fragapane. The building has experienced multiple maintenance issues over the past several years, with the most recent being a mold-related complaint in February 2023, which was inspected by HPD but resulted in no violations.

A significant cluster of unresolved issues was documented in January 2022, including complaints about heat/hot water across the entire building, various electrical problems, flooring concerns, and plumbing issues, though many of these complaints were closed due to inability to gain access for inspection.
