68-10 79th Street is a two-story, four-unit New Law tenement building constructed in 1930 and currently owned by Danny Vajanc. The property has recently experienced several maintenance and safety issues, with the most significant cluster of complaints occurring in June 2024.

During this period, multiple complaints were made regarding flooring conditions, safety concerns with window guards, smoke and carbon monoxide detector issues, and wall maintenance problems. While inspections were conducted and some violations were issued, particularly concerning safety equipment, others resulted in no violations being found. The Department of Housing Preservation and Development's June 2024 inspection revealed multiple open violations related to building safety and maintenance requirements, including missing notices for carbon monoxide detectors, smoke detector requirements, and other administrative code violations related to building maintenance.
