The four-story, 58-unit building at 41-69 Parsons Boulevard in Flushing, owned by Daniel Brownstein and constructed in 1929, has experienced several notable maintenance issues over recent years. Most recently, in February 2025, there was an emergency heat and hot water outage affecting the entire building, though this was rapidly resolved. In late 2024, multiple non-emergency complaints were filed regarding various issues including plumbing problems, window and door maintenance, and unsanitary conditions including pest problems.

While some of these complaints could not be fully investigated due to access issues, inspections conducted on October 3, 2024, regarding pest problems and window frame issues did not result in any violations. The building has undergone multiple inspections and faced several violations in recent years, particularly in 2023-2024. In September 2023, apartment 1R was found with multiple issues requiring attention, including a bathroom water leak, water closet connection problems, and various safety system deficiencies including carbon monoxide and smoke detector problems, all of which were certified as corrected by late 2023.

Earlier violations from 2021 in apartment 1B related to bathroom ceiling maintenance were also resolved. The building's bedbug reporting record from 2019-2024 shows that while there were significant infestations in 2019-2020 (with 13 units affected at one point), there have been no reported infestations in the most recent five reporting periods. A rodent inspection conducted in November 2024 resulted in a passing grade, though another inspection from 2013 had previously failed for unspecified reasons.
