The three-story, three-unit residential building at 214-09 18th Avenue in Bay Terrace, owned by Julia Chen and constructed in 1972, has a concerning pattern of bedbug reporting violations over the past several years. Most recently, in 2024, and in each of the previous three years (2023, 2022, and 2021), the building received Class A Housing Maintenance Code violations for failing to file the required annual bedbug reports with the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development.

While there was one year (2021) in which a bedbug report was filed showing no infestation during the 2019-2020 period (with zero infested or eradicated units), the pattern of annual violations suggests ongoing non-compliance with bedbug reporting requirements.
