The three-story, 45-unit residential building at 77-30 Main Street in Kew Gardens Hills, owned by George Schatiloff and constructed in 1949, has experienced several significant maintenance issues in recent years. Most notably, in February 2025, the building encountered multiple urgent problems including heat and hot water outages (affecting both individual apartments and the entire building), power outages, and concerns regarding carbon monoxide and smoke detector functionality. While these complaints were ultimately closed, HPD was unable to complete inspections in response to several of these complaints.

However, recent bedbug reporting periods (2022-2024) show no evidence of infestations, and the building passed rodent inspections in 2022 and 2023. While some health and safety issues persist, particularly regarding building systems and safety equipment, the property has demonstrated periods of compliance with pest control requirements.
