The two-story, 12-unit garden apartment building at 195-00 67th Avenue in Fresh Meadows, owned by QUEENS FRESH MEADOWS, LLC, has experienced recurring heating system issues over the past three years. Most notably, between 2022 and 2023, there were multiple emergency complaints regarding heat and hot water problems, with ten separate incidents recorded, four of which occurred during October 2022 alone.

While some of these complaints affected the entire building, others were specific to individual apartments. Investigations by the Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) often resulted in either confirmed restoration of services or, in several cases, inability to gain access for inspection.
