The two-story, three-unit residential building at 80-02 95th Avenue in Ozone Park, owned by Sohel Ahmed, was constructed in 1910 and has experienced persistent heating and safety issues in recent years. Most notably, between late 2023 and December 2024, there have been multiple complaints and emergency service requests regarding heat and hot water problems, both in individual apartments and across the entire building.

These complaints, including some filed as emergencies, were consistently marked as "Closed" due to the Department of Housing Preservation and Development's inability to gain access for inspection.
